Betty also worked for San Patricio County as the Assistant County Auditor. In 1954 she married Estevan E. Martinez in Calallen, Tx surrounded by their friends and family; the early years of their marriage were spent as migrant workers all throughout west Texas. He was a U.S. Navy, veteran and had been the owner and operator of Floyd's TV, service and repairs for many years.
